A new browser

It’s often said that if you are designing websites, you need to have multiple browsers to check your work. Often times what looks great in Firefox will look very bad in IE. So check you must!

However, it is also a good idea to test browsers to see what they offer and pick which one works the best for you. You’ve read how I feel about Firefox already, I have many extensions that I use on a daily basis and so forth.

Ed at underachieverlife.com posted a series of videos for day three about blogging. He walks through setting up a blog and also pointed out the Flock browser. I heard about this browser, but being that I am a Firefox user, I passed it by. After watching Ed’s videos about how easy blogging with Flock is, how to blog news stories and reading about the integration of Flickr, I decided to give Flock a try.

The installation - downloading, installing, plus Flock grabbing my favorites, etc., from Firefox - took less then five minues. I got plugged into Flickr as well as added one of my blogs to the blogging system. I immediately see that there are tabbed browsers and using Flickr is a breeze. I did download most of the extensions I had in Firefox, there were a few that I couldn’t find which I can live without for now. I’m going to use Flock for a few days and see what else is different and maybe I’ll stick with it.
